ROGER HUNTINGTON was born on April 1, 1758, in Norwich, CT. He married Mary "Polly" Dyer. He died on December 4,1850 in Hartford, VT. He served in the American Revolution, enlisting in early 1776 at Norwich. He served for about a year in Captain Jedidiah Waterman's company, Colonel John Durkee's Connecticut Regiment. He was in the battle of Long Island and several skirmishes. In July 1779, he enlisted in Captain Webb's company of the same regiment and served for about fourteen months as a private. When he applied for a pension on April 14, 1818, he was a resident of Hartland County, VT. In 1845 he was residing in Lebanon, NH. At the age of ninety-two he took great delight in the daily reading of his old family Bible. His name appears on the pension list of 1850.

1. JOSEPH, born in 1801, in Hartford, VT; married, in Barre, MA, Hannah Bolton. She died April 20, 1854, in Webster, MA. He died May 17, 1859, in Springfield, MA. They had children LORING, HANNAH, MARY, and MELISSA.
2. BENJAMIN, born in 1801; died in infancy.
3. JARED, born in 1803; married in Lebanon, NH to Lura Dewey. He died in Hartford, VT.
4. JOHN DYER, born about 1805 in Hartford, VT He married Correna S. They had children ELIZABETH, LUCINDA P., DENISON, HARRISON, and HAMDEN, who died from disease while serving as an Illinois Civil War Soldier. The family had moved to Lake County, IL, during the 1840's, where Hamden was born.
5. MARY, born January 17, 1809, in Hartford, VT; married, August 4, 1833, in Webster, MA, Chester Bolton. He was a worker in iron. She married, April 6, 1847 in Lebanon, NH, William Woodbury. He was born January 8, 1799, in Croydon, NH, and died January 8, 1866, in Enfield, NH. He was a farmer and was married once before this marriage. Mrs. Woodbury died September 24, 1892, in Elizabeth, NJ. She was the mother of ORRA CUTLER Bolton and JAMES Bolton.
